In February 2019, the City of Eustis will gear up to celebrate George Washington’s Birthday. This marks the 117th time the city will gather its community, neighboring cities and visitors from all over the US to honor one of our nation’s Founding Fathers and first President of the United States. GeorgeFest is the longest running celebration of George Washington’s Birthday in the State of Florida, and the 2nd longest running in the entire United States.
The theme for the 2019 festival is “Into the Future.” The historic celebration provides over 11 decades giving the Eustis community and celebration visitors the opportunity to reflect on the national and local history of GeorgeFest.
GeorgeFest, in the heart of Downtown Eustis, will feature the carnival, live music, food, vendors and much more! Fireworks will light up the sky Friday night in Ferran Park and Saturday morning will kick off with the George Washington Birthday Celebration Parade. This fantastic weekend will be filled with fun and activities for all ages. We anticipate over 30,000 participants over the three-day extravaganza!
Everyone is invited to celebrate George Washington’s Birthday Celebration with the Eustis community. This year will deliver fun, great entertainment and wonderful memories for years to come.
